David
Franklin (Captain Braca)
I
caught David in an IBM commercial during a golf tournament a
couple of weeks ago. He's the one in the long wig (I think it's a
wig) who's throwing money at the problem.
 David
has not one, but two autograph cards in the recently released trading card set
titled "The Quotable Xena" which was released by Rittenhouse Archives. David played the part of
Brutus in several Xena episodes and besides having one card all to himself, he's also paired in
a double autograph card with Karl Urban, who played Caesar. This twofer
is a limited
edition which means that there are about half as many avaible as the rest of the autograph
cards.

His

At the Farscape convention, David said that he had been in Vancouver
(where Stargate & Battlestar are filmed) and that he had had
an audition. Maybe there's no connection, but in any case, he
didn't say for what and he didn't say (or know at the time)
whether he had gotten the part.

Rygel
Rygel, well perhaps it's
best if we don't speak of Rygel. Our Dominar has fallen on hard times, gotten into the
beer and become a couch potato. We saw a bit of that when he was on earth (Kansas)
and discovered the joys of junk food. It's only gotten worse since then.

Virginia
Hey (Zhaan)
Virginia Hey (Zhaan) is giving Meditation Workshops! From Virginia's website:
"The
general meditations that I teach are for all adults and all religions. They are all encompassing
and perfect for all levels of expertise, from beginners to the highly experienced lightworker.
"I
use imagery to induce a feeling of peace and well-being, of healing and enlightenment. I use
mental images of colored light, images of peaceful settings in nature, and encourage a mental
process whereby a strong link to the sub-conscious is opened, and imaginary senses are activated
by focusing on awareness of the surroundings of the imaginary nature setting I transports the
student to. The student will be encouraged to “see“, “touch” and “smell” the
beautiful floral natural setting in the imagination, thereby opening the ability to focus on an
inner environment and self heal, or self motivate."
Virginia
will be at the Official Farscape Convention
on November 18-20, 2005 UPDATE: For
images of her appearance at this convention, check out Karlsweb's

Rockne
S. O'Bannon
Rockne has written a
TV mini-series called "The Triangle" for the SciFi
Channel about group of people haunted by their experiences within
the Bermuda Triangle who band together to confront its truths.
He's also working on a couple of pilots, one titled Urban
Arcana for SciFi. and another called Cult for the WB.
According to SciFi
Wire:
"It’s
kind of based on my experiences with the Farscape fan community,
obviously taken to an extreme,” O’Bannon said in an
interview. “One of the aspects of Cult is the subculture that
grows up around a television series. It’s kind of a show
within a show. And it’s totally based on that [experience],
but an extreme extrapolation, because the Farscape fans are
wonderful, benign people, and not all the fans of Cult are
anywhere near as benign. They’re actually quite nasty.”
Cult,
which is currently in preproduction for a potential debut in the
fall of 2006, centers around two brothers, one of whom is
involved in the fan community of a fictional television series
called Cult. When he goes missing, his older brother begins
unraveling the mystery behind his disappearance and discovers
that it may have something to do with the fandom of the
show."
